Much of the early planning stages of the 2020 DBE & Small Business Transportation Expo are invisible – from brainstorming the branding and logo to evaluating options of venues, much has to happen before the event is even announced.
Now that the very initial planning stages are wrapping up, the event committee is excited to start broadcasting the news far and wide.
Marketing Update
The event website was launched with fresh 2020 content and the registration paths opened on November 22, 2019, quickly registering over 30 individuals.
The ADOT homepage is now displaying a banner ad for the Expo – see above!
The planning committee continues to focus on efficiencies and digital marketing. For instance, the ADOTDBEEXPO.com website has now incorporated a contact capture webform that enables website visitors to receive communications about the event. The committee members of Sky Harbor, Phoenix Streets, and Valley Metro are also working to update their respective websites with digital ads for the Expo.
Shout Out to the First Sponsors in the Door!
Weitz Construction has the moniker of being the first sponsor to sign up for the 2020 DBE & Small Business Transportation Expo! We’re not quite sure what prize they should receive, but we’re open to ideas: maybe a gold star on all of their attendees’ name badges? Maybe a spotlight hung from the ceiling directed at their exhibit table?
Soon after Weitz Construction signed up, CLJ Consulting secured their return as a DBE Sponsor, and FNF Construction has joined as an Exhibitor.
