Why Attend the 2026 EXPO?

Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and partner agencies will be holding the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Transportation EXPO on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. This event is in-person this year and will allow attendees to learn about project opportunities, network with industry professionals and business owners and hear from transportation leaders including: ADOTMCDOT, the City of Phoenix Public Transit and Street Transportation departments, Valley Metro, and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. There will also be a Workforce Development Panel to connect you to workforce development resources.

Road to Results in 2026

Winning contracts requires more than qualifications; it requires networking and improving visibility. At this in-person event, opportunities to build new relationships, make sales pitches, learn of future projects, and connections will abound.

Participants can chat with leaders from government agencies and other hiring companies in the transportation industry and hear about upcoming projects at ADOT, City of Phoenix Streets Transportation Department, Sky Harbor International Airport and Valley Metro. Primes can establish new DBE, SBE and SBC connections.

What can I expect to get out of attending this event?

Business Opportunities! This event is designed to provide a ton of connections and specific future project opportunities for those in the Transportation and Architecture/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) industries. From networking opportunities, trade show meet and greets, speed networking appointments (priority given to connecting DBE Sponsors and Primes) and the stage programming, everything about the event is focused on providing business opportunities to certified DBE and small businesses.  

How big is this event?

Typically between 400 – 600 people attend throughout the morning. The EXPO time is open networking with the dozens of exhibitors and public owners who host tables. One-on-one speed networking with primes will occur during EXPO time and may extend past 12 p.m. The stage programming is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and will consist of public owners discussing upcoming opportunities. We are excited to host at the Mesa Convention Center, Building C this year, which has plenty of free surface parking, easy access to freeways and a great layout for this event.

What if I'm not a certified DBE?
Should I still come?

Yes! This event is sure to provide all small businesses in the Arizona transportation industry with resources, connections and information about future business opportunities.

Will there be food?

Yes, the DBE EXPO will have a light breakfast service and beverages for registered attendees.
